I know we've all talked at this point, and I know everything is still far from perfect, but I am really hoping to transcend everything...cause friendships can do that. We have the advantage of having a particularly strong friendship, however it will no doubt take some time. And lots of band-aids.
Just because I have a new group of friends doesn't mean I'm any less your friends, just like A is no less of friends with us because of the time he spends with the "Homecoming Group," or C with her writing group. I know I've been more neglectful than A and C, and I've promised to improve on this. I'm hoping we can all do something next Friday or Saturday? We need some time together. I think that will help, although some open(er) minds wouldn't hurt, either.
I'm starting to sound a little bit like a parrot, I'm sure, repeating myself over and over again to you guys. At the sake of making y'all bored, let's move on...
I went and
saw our school's production of Beauty and the Beast last night, with Well, Evvy and her group of friends (who don't go to our school). It was extraordinary! Belle has always been one of my favorite princesses, and I mean, who can resist dancing enchanted household objects? Especially when they're kids from your class with plates strapped to their backs! It was done fantastically, I would so go again. Particularly because Birdie played Gaston. Swoon. Luckily Tom didn't go, or I may have had a bit of explaining to do...And doesn't Drew Barrymore make a lovely Beauty?
Oh, and we have a new song in dance!

And C--thank you SO much! Oh my god, I am EXCITED!
all photos from here except this one from here
Next Friday S and I are going to Beauty and the Beast and sometime over the break C and I (and maybe S?) are getting together to make baby shower gifts for C's and my english teacher. So you could help with that too if you want...
ReplyDeleteI'm going to Beauty and the Beast, too!
ReplyDeleteAnd J, you should come to the gift-making thing. It will be fun -- making weird, literary-themed baby items. :) I'm doing a mobile for above the crib with great works of literature hanging from it.
My goal (and I would assume it's A's goal as well) is to totally beat out the first baby item that someone turned in which was (I kid you not) a piece of wood with the kid's named carved on it.
Lame!
You're gonna love RIB. :D All of it gets stuck in my head. :)
Oh, invite me! I'd love to make literary-themed baby shower presents :D Mrs Wolverine's having a baby, though?!?!?! That's news in itself! I feel like I new about the pregnancy, but I didn't know it was Mrs Wolverine...
ReplyDeleteAnd we really need to figure out how to get S commenting on here...
ReplyDeleteIt's not -- It's Mr C's wife (lol, I can't come up with a name for him yet... that can just be it).
ReplyDeleteYeah, that whole issue is still a puzzle? Has she tried commenting as the main log-in?
