Hello hello!I survived my surgery!!! I went in on Friday to have the procedure done and it went splendidly, so yay. I was really goofy on drugs for a while (and said some really embarrassing things) and am taking massive amounts of medications, but all is well in J-land!

I wanna say happy b-day to C again, as well :) I had lots and lots of fun seeing everyone at your birthday and am SO bummed I won't be able to go to LC!'s concert coming up because I think it would be a lot of fun. I haven't been to a concert with y'all in such a long time, it's ridiculous. I'm looking forward to Sasquatch with S but I miss going, all three of us.
It is so pretty out today, i
t makes me want to make plans for this summer! I wanna do something wickedly awesome, I've gotta think up something good for the four of us to do...not sure exactly WHAT though. Maybe go somewhere neat? We'll see, I'm sure we'll come up with something neat.Whaaaaaat else...I've got lots of homework to get to, which is weighing on my thoughts right now...I really really really should be doing that but I wanted to make a post first, haha. Oh yeah, priorities, mine are so in order, haha :)
OH YEAH, THIS STARTED LAST NIGHT! Did you watch, C? Omg, no spoilers or anything in case you haven't seen yet, but I really loved it. Amy Pond as a little kid sort of annoyed me, but I like her as a teenager and Matt Smith has done a great job of stepping in as the doctor, although I'm not incredibly in love with him yet...Tennet was just so extraordinary, you know? But we'll see ;)Over and out!
What? I LOVE Matt Smith as the Doctor and I loved Amy Pond as a kid -- how could you not? It was cute and she was there for like three seconds. :P Smith is so funny and I like that while David Tennant was sort of a random Doctor, Matt Smith is maybe even more disjointed and out of it a lot of the time. I did feel like I caught on a bit before he did in this episode, though, which annoyed me. The human residence thing? Super easy to figure out and I knew what Amy's "plans" were for the next day before the ending... Hopefully it gets a bit more mysterious when the real villains are back on (SUPER excited for the weeping angels because they are the scariest things ever -- I re-watched Blink yesterday because Carey Mulligan is in it and it's my favorite episode ever). I'm a bit miffed about the sonic screwdriver, though... what's up with that being new??
ReplyDeleteDid you watch the special that was on the hour beforehand about all the bits of Doctor Who?
Yep, I watched the special! SUPER excited for the weeping angels too, I adore Carey Mulligan, I wish she'd been a companion...
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, what the heck is up with the green sonic screwdriver? That miffed me too.
And I reread what I wrote and it makes me sound like I don't like Matt Smith. I LOVE him, I'll just have to get used to him cause I was madly in love with Tennet :) And I'm a little irked about Amy's "plans"--they did that already with Donna :/
Aww well. I'm excited to see where this season goes!
Yeah, but I think Donna's was different enough -- I mean, for one: it was that whole weird Doctory-Who-y scheme with her the first time, which it isn't with Amy at all. Like, finding Donna and her wedding was just part of an episode and she didn't come back until later, by which time she obviously wasn't getting married... (lol that episode where she comes back is hilarious).
ReplyDeleteI hope the TARDIS gets a bit more light -- so far, just one episode in, it's been mentioned in a lot more detail than I recall ever happening before -- ie hinting at its real size, which is much bigger than we ever see... There's also been that bit off another episode that they showed in either an ad or in that special with that woman who's like "That noise isn't supposed to happen -- you always leave the break on." Hahahaha.
I'm seriously angry about the screwdriver. Also a little bit about the logo/theme music. But those aren't integral parts of the show, and the sonic screwdriver... I tried to explain that to A today and he didn't get it. :/
