Meet S!

Hi, I'm S. I've known J, A, and C for over a decade, but recently I have found it hard to keep in touch with them. This is the point of my blog posts. Anyway, I thought you may get to know me better by hearing some of my new years goals (not resolutions).

Firstly, I want to become organized. For me, this means coming up with more of a schedule and writing things done. I probably have attempted half a dozen times to start a journal and an organization system, but it never works. I've decided this for a few reasons-- such as that I have acquired over 100 dollars in late fees at the library (most of which will be deducted after I turn in the Cat Stevens boxed collection and some Conor Oberst albums, which I have yet to do), that I always have to call people to double check times, I can never tell people when I'm actually free, and that I'm really bad at organizing my budget (I've kept all of my receipts for the past four (plus) months shoved into my wallet). The journal came from something I've always wanted to do, and as my Nana was talking to me today, I realised it's something I should do. She was saying how she wished she had kept her old journal to read now. I always thought of a journal as a way to take of the burden of everthing you carry around, but it would be nice to have something to help me see my past.

Secondly, I want to buy some disposable cameras. I really can't afford a digital one--plus I like the disposable ones. You click and there's no delete, and no taking back the moment. If they look a little wonky it's okay, because when you see them you know they'll be on glossy paper with a little date stamped on the back--a little slice of life. I'm sure, though, that'll I'll go back on that and end up shredding one eventually.

Thirdly, I want to sort out my CAS hours. This involves organizing, but also to get done to some projects I've been thinking about, but haven't fully jumped into. This includes--figuring out if working out three times a week (I'm finally going to do it--yes!) counts as "Active," how to turn working at the food bank into a project, figuring out how to document my guitar songs (J-- I can play your blog name--sorry that just made me smile), talking to meastra about a Spanish class to take over the summer, going to the fabric store and finishing up my half sewn navy dress ( I would really like to get good enough to take a class on making my own patterns-- I know exactly what I want to wear, but can never find it), and finally, I really want to take a pottery class. One more thing, I'm not a stickler for grammar, and I know JAC are. So, sorry in advance for the countless errors I will make, and sorry now for all the mistakes in that run-on sentence.

Thirdly, well... there's more, but they're more of day dreams and not really more important than the last two.

If that wasn't enough to get to know me here are some basic facts:

-I'm sixteen
-I day dream more than I ever actually take action and still am working on finding a way to express myself (I'm your classic "bottles-it-all-up" case)
-I really love the smell of rain, and those days where the sky turns grey and everything pops with color
-I play the guitar (poorly), and wish more than anything (up their in the top 5 right along with world peace) that I had natural musical talent
-I, one day, hope to leave an impression (like Paul Newman and salad dressing, but way smaller)

Loves
-S

Oh, last note: I like the muted neon title card (A?)

  1. Haha Soaps, sorry, I just had to edit your post a little bit. The excessive spaces between everything was getting on my nerves. And your post should've been labeled S :P

100 dollar fee?? oh my god.

Hey, aim for Newman level notoriety!

And yeah, the banner's mine. Thanks haha

  2. 100 dollars? Goodness S! :P

I really like your post. It feels so honest--like how this should be. I think the REST OF US ought to aspire for that *glare in A's general direction*
