The Seaside

Do you want to go to the seaside?
I'm not trying to say that
everybody wants to go...
The Kooks, Seaside

About a week or so ago my family went on a mini-vacation to the seaside. Well, it wasn't really the sea, it was a bay, but that it pretty much close enough. These are some pictures from one of the only times I went outside during the vacation -- I was very ill and mostly stayed in to watch Harry Potter on television or listen to some podcasts. Or mope around drinking cranberry juice.

The other time I went outside was for an antique fair where I bought a floral pin. I would have bought a pocket watch for a necklace, but the only guy selling real ones (who also had amazing pins) had really high prices for everything. The only affordable one I found was hard to open once you had closed it and wasn't actually an antique of any sort. It wasn't even real.
My parents bought a really cute painting there of a farmhouse (it reminds me of some of the things we had in our third/fourth grade classroom).

(I post this in a fit of completely ignoring what happened with our musical today.
A will probably go into that... so I thought I'd post something happier.)

  4. What happened? Well reads our blog and saw the comment about the musical and asked me what happened and I was like I DUNNO, OMG, SOMEONE ACTUALLY UPDATED?

And so I came and read.

  5. If it's my fault I'm sorry.
    If not I'm still sorry.

  6. Nooooo, it's not your fault! A guy in our group (AKA Incompetent Individual) screwed up some lighting cues and turning on the music for our party scene -- our huge dance number and amazing song...
Plus our lead didn't know it was the karaoke version and then it all went wrong. >.>
From there it went downhill, really.
Our first half was fab, though! :)

  7. Also, just note that he played A SIGN in our musical and needed help with that, and this was his only other "job"...

  8. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, that's funny xD I mean, not that it went badly but that the person was a sign, hahaha, and still screwed up!

  9. I will post--just A needs to first. That's my rule (but I will cave).

  10. Oh, his performance as sign was spot on.

He's so getting a 0/30 on his individual grade, though.

  11. I just looked at the FB pictures. You're right, he does have a pointy chin. You all looked super cute in your costumes! (I loved that white dress that one girl in your group was wearing (she was with white hat by the lake).
